IDC History

CH2M HILL, our parent organization, is a global project delivery company based in Denver, Colorado. This 57-year-old organization with more than 10,000 employees and better than 120 locations worldwide is one of the largest employee-owned consulting firms in the United States.

In 1985 CH2M HILL created a wholly-owned subsidiary, IDC, to provide design and construction services to industrial clients, with a focus on the electronics, food, and pharmaceutical industries. IDC has grown to over 1,000 employees with offices on three continents.

Today IDC's Food and Consumer Products business unit leverages an internal staff of food process engineers, designers, architects, and project managers with the multidiscipline staff of IDC and CH2M HILL to deliver more than 100 food industry projects each year.
